The short answer

An SSL certificate (now properly called TLS) encrypts data between the visitor's browser and your site, so nobody on the way reads names, addresses and phone numbers. Its sign is a link starting with https and a padlock in the browser.

Why does SSL certificate matter to a seller?

Because browsers show a «not secure» warning on a site without one, so the customer leaves before ordering, and Google prefers secure sites. Payment gateways require it.

SSL certificate in ArabyBot

In ArabyBot Store the security certificate is issued free and automatically for the free link and for your domain when you connect it, with no setup. A custom domain for the store.

Frequently asked questions

1

Do I pay for an SSL certificate?

Not in most cases; free certificates are enough for stores, and platforms issue them automatically.

2

What does a «not secure» message on my site mean?

That the site opens without a certificate or with an expired one; it must be turned on before you take orders.
