Designing an ad with AI from your product photo: three scenes and ready words in seconds
How to design an ad picture with AI from a product photo: the photo to start with, the three scenes, the words on the picture, the sizes, and an honest comparison with the free tools — with a real example from the tool.

The short answer
Start with a real, clear photo of your product. An AI design tool places the product in a new scene — a studio with a soft backdrop, real use in everyday life, or a bold colour — and writes the headline, badge and button, giving you a square ad picture and a tall one for Stories. In ArabyBot three designs come out in about 14 seconds and become an ad directly. If you want a free way, Meta's generative tools inside Ads Manager are free, but they adjust your picture inside the ad and do not write your offer.

A real example: one photo, three designs

The AI wrote the words from the photo and the product details, in the dialect it chose for the audience, and you edit them before publishing. It did not invent details the product does not have.
The photo you start with
- A photo of your own product
The design builds the scene around the product in your photo, so what is in the photo is what appears in the ad. Do not use a product picture from another site.
- Clear and well lit
Daylight from a window is enough. The whole product in the frame, not cut off, with no strong shadows on it.
- A simple background
A wall or table in one colour makes it easier to separate the product from its background, so the new scene comes out cleaner.
- The product's facts
The name, price and real offer, such as free delivery or a discount. The words on the picture are written from them, and nothing is invented beyond them.
The three scenes: when to pick each
| Scene | What it looks like | Suits |
|---|---|---|
| Studio | A soft backdrop in a colour that complements the product, a light shadow, calm light | Products bought for looks and quality: perfume, watches, electronics |
| Real life | The product where it is really used, with a softly blurred background | Products bought for use: clothes, home goods, cosmetics |
| Bold | One strong colour taken from the product itself, crisp light | An offer or discount that has to stop the scroll: seasons and White Friday |
The words on the picture
Only four pieces: a short headline that stops the reader, a second line saying what the product is, a badge with the offer such as free delivery, and a button saying what the reader should do. They sit on a light shade at the top of the picture so they can be read, and the badge and button take their colour from the picture itself, so the design reads as one piece. Meta no longer rejects an ad for having a lot of words on its picture, but it recommends few, because pictures with little text perform better — which is why the words stay at four. The longer text above the picture has its own structure, explained in writing an ad with AI.
Sizes
| Placement | Size | In the designer |
|---|---|---|
| Posts on Facebook and Instagram | Square 1:1 — 1080×1080 | The three scenes |
| Stories and Reels | Tall 9:16 — 1080×1920 | The tall design, with the words above the picture |
| Reels and Stories video | Tall 9:16 | A video from the designs — a video ad with AI |
Free tools and designing inside the ads manager
Anyone searching for "design an ad with AI for free" finds three kinds of tools, each good at something:
| Tool | What it does well | What a merchant misses |
|---|---|---|
| Meta's generative tools inside Ads Manager | Free, and improve your picture inside the ad itself | Work on a ready picture; they do not write your offer or measure orders |
| General design tools, such as Canva | Many templates and AI editing | Designing is manual, then you move it into the ad yourself |
| General image generators, such as ChatGPT and Gemini | New scenes from a description you write | May change how your product looks, and you write the prompts yourself |
| The designer in ArabyBot's ads manager | Three scenes from your photo, their words and a tall design, then an ad directly | Not a separate free tool; it is part of the ads manager |
The difference that matters to a merchant is not how pretty the picture is: it is whether the design becomes a running ad, and whether you then know which design brought a delivered order. That is what the AI ads manager does: design, text and audience in one step, and the report in orders.
Frequently asked questions
Does the AI change how my product looks?
The designer is asked to keep the product as it appears in your photo and change the scene around it: background, light and setting. Still, check every design before publishing; if a detail of the product changed, pick another design or ask for new ones, because the ad must show what the customer will really receive.
Can I use a picture from the internet?
Do not. A product picture from another site or a competitor's page may be protected by copyright, and the ad can be rejected or your Page reported. A phone photo in daylight is enough for the designer to build its scenes on.
Does it write Arabic on the picture?
Yes: the headline, second line, badge and button, in Arabic or English, in your audience's dialect, and you edit them before publishing. In the tall design the words go above the picture, not on it, so they never cover the product.
How many designs do I get?
Three each time: studio, real life and bold. You pick what fits, ask for three more, or use several designs in the same ad.
Does it design logos, print work or signs?
No. The designer is built for Facebook and Instagram ads: a square picture for posts and a tall design for Stories and Reels, and a tall video from them.
