The short answer

WATI is a respectable product and this page will not pretend otherwise. The difference that matters to a merchant in Egypt, Saudi Arabia or the Gulf is not product quality — it is which channels you get, whether Arabic and dialect are built in rather than translated, how you are able to pay, and whether you can run the whole thing from your phone.

1. What WATI does well

A comparison that says the alternative is bad is not a comparison, it is an advert. So these are the things it genuinely does well — and if one of them is the thing you care most about, take it.

  • A mature, globally known WhatsApp-focused product with a clean interface.
  • A large integration library and a wide app marketplace.
  • Excellent English documentation and a large user community.

2. The real differences

  • Channels: WATI is built around WhatsApp. ArabyBot runs WhatsApp + Instagram + Messenger + Facebook comments + TikTok from one inbox.
  • Arabic: our replies and AI are built on Arabic — Egyptian, Gulf and MSA — not a translated interface.
  • Payment: pay in pounds or riyals through local methods, not an international card only.
  • A full mobile app: run everything from your phone — replies, orders, campaigns, AI reports.

The differences, row by row

This table drops every row where we and WATI are the same — twenty rows saying "yes" on both sides help nobody. What is left is the delta, in both directions.

3. When to choose which

Your situationThe better fit
You sell in Egypt or the Gulf and your customers write in dialectArabyBot
You need Instagram, Facebook and TikTok alongside WhatsApp in one placeArabyBot
You run a Salla, Shopify or WooCommerce store and the bot must know your stockArabyBot
You run the business from a phone more than a laptopArabyBot
You need something very specific and have a dev team to build itWATI

4. Who WATI is for, and who ArabyBot is for

Choose WATI if WhatsApp is your only channel, your team works in English and relies on a large documentation and integrations marketplace, and you do not need Instagram, Messenger or Facebook comments in the same place.

Choose ArabyBot if your customers reach you on WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger together, write in Egyptian or Gulf Arabic, and you want the reply, the order and the stock inside one conversation, billing in pounds or riyals, and a full mobile app.

5. How to compare the two bills without being misled

Two bills, not one. With any official provider you pay the platform its subscription and pay Meta for messages directly. A page showing one number is hiding the other; always ask whether it includes Meta's fees.

With any official provider there are two bills: the platform subscription and Meta's message fees

What is metered: seats or numbers? Some platforms price per user, so the subscription grows with every teammate you add. ArabyBot prices by service and number, and does not cap the team size in a plan.

Currency and payment method. ArabyBot bills in Egyptian pounds, Saudi riyals and US dollars, by card or local payment methods. Compare the final figure in your currency, not a dollar price before conversion and bank fees.

AI messages. Every plan of ours includes a monthly number of AI-agent replies, and extra packs are bought per message, not per token. Ask the other platform how it bills AI: inside the subscription, or an external provider key you pay for yourself?

6. Moving from WATI to ArabyBot, step by step

  1. Export contacts and tags

    from WATI as a CSV.

  2. Move the number from inside Meta Business Manager.

Templates approved at Meta stay on your business account; nothing is rewritten or re-approved.

  3. Connect the number in ArabyBot and add Instagram and Messenger

to the same inbox, and connect your store.

  4. Turn your quick replies into a knowledge base

the AI agent reads, instead of keyword lists that grow and never end.

  5. Watch the first two days from the app

; every conversation and every manual takeover shows there as on the web.

The steps to move from WATI; approved templates stay on your Meta business account

Frequently asked

Can I move my chats and templates from WATI?

Templates are approved by Meta, not by the platform, so they stay on your business account when you switch providers. Old conversations do not transfer automatically between platforms — we help you import contacts and start from the templates you already have approved.

Will my number be interrupted while I move?

A number moves between providers inside Meta Business Manager and stays the same number. The gap is minutes, not days, and it is best done at a quiet hour.
