The short answer

A product description that sells is short and answers the customer's questions before they ask, in six parts: a first line with the main benefit, then who it is for and when to use it, then the specs as bullet points, then sizes or quantities, then care or how to use, then what is in the box, delivery and exchanges. Write in your customer's language, with precise facts rather than big words like “high quality”, and make every description answer a question that keeps coming up in your messages.

Frequently asked questions

1

How long should a product description be?

As long as the customer needs to decide: a line for the benefit, short bullets for the specs, and a few lines for size and delivery. A long description without bullets does not get read on a phone.

2

Should I copy the supplier's description?

No; the supplier's description is written for a trader, not a customer, and you find the same one in dozens of stores, so it neither sets you apart nor answers your customers' questions. Take the exact specs from it and write the rest yourself.

3

Does the description help with showing on Google?

Yes, when it is your own writing and carries the words customers actually search, such as the product type, material and size. Your store's products on Google.

4

Can AI write the description for me?

In ArabyBot Store you pick the product photo and press «Write the name and description from the photo», and it writes the name, description, category and search words. Review it and add what the photo cannot show, such as the material and exact size. A product from its photo with AI.
