Why this page is different
In Comoros French is the language of trade and Comorian the language of home — so the business reply that lands is usually written in French, not Arabic.
In Comoros French is the language of trade and administration, payment runs on the phone through wallets such as MVola, Huri Money and Holo, and the Comorian franc is pegged to the euro. The agent understands French and Arabic and answers in the customer's language, and confirms the order before delivery.

The WhatsApp Cloud API does not restrict a number's country. The two real conditions are that the number is not active on the WhatsApp app when you register it, and that you hold a Meta Business Manager account. The detail is in our Cloud API explainer.
How the market works in Comoros
A small market selling on Facebook then TikTok, with the Comorian franc pegged to the euro. Payment runs on the phone through wallets such as MVola, Huri Money and Holo. French is the language of government and trade, Comorian the language of most homes, and Arabic is present in religious education more than in selling.

And the mistake to avoid
Writing the bot's information in Arabic while your customers write French. Write prices and policies in the selling language and ask for replies in the customer's language. We have not tested the agent in Comorian; if that is your customers' language, test it first or route those conversations to a person.
By your sector
The problem changes completely with what you do — a clinic books appointments and is forbidden from giving medical advice, a store checks live stock and confirms an order.
Frequently asked
Does the bot answer in French?
Yes, if you ask for it in its instructions: the agent understands French and Arabic and answers in the customer's language or the one you set. We have not tested it in Comorian, so route those conversations to a person until you have tested it yourself.
What does a WhatsApp API message to a Comorian number cost?
A utility or authentication message to a Comorian number is $0.0077, and a marketing message $0.0604, both from Meta's official card effective 1 October 2026. The price follows the recipient's dialling code, not the merchant's country; replying to whoever wrote first is free for the first 1,000 replies per number each month, then billed at the utility rate. Meta's fees are paid to Meta on your own account, with no markup from us.
How do I pay the subscription from Comoros?
Prices are shown to a visitor from Comoros in US dollars and paid by international bank card (Visa or Mastercard). If you have no card that pays in dollars, message us before subscribing and pay nothing until we agree on a way. Meta's WhatsApp fees are separate from the subscription and need a payment method Meta accepts on your own Meta account.
