The cheapest WhatsApp chatbot in Egypt 2026 — the full bill in EGP, and what "cheapest" hides
The short answer
A WhatsApp chatbot bill in Egypt has three lines, not one: the platform subscription, Meta's fee on every conversation you start, and the number itself. The page that says "cheapest" shows the first line alone.
In measured numbers: an order confirmation costs about 0.17 EGP at Meta, a marketing message about 3.10 EGP, and 71% of conversations are free because the customer started them. So a store at three hundred orders a month pays Meta about 51 EGP on top of its subscription, and a store at three thousand pays about 510 — and at that volume the cheapest subscription is not the cheapest bill.
1. The bill has three lines
Search for "the cheapest WhatsApp chatbot in Egypt" and you find pages showing one number: their monthly subscription. The number is true, but it is a third of the story. An official platform — any platform on the WhatsApp Cloud API — does not collect conversation fees; Meta collects them directly from your account. And the number you run on is a third line with a price of its own, which can be zero or can be everything you have.
- The platform subscription
This is the number on the pricing page. Ours is WhatsApp Lite at 1,000 EGP a month ($40, 120 SAR), and WhatsApp Pro at 3,000 EGP. Elsewhere it starts at zero in capped free tiers and at about six dollars in paid ones. (Competitor prices as read on their own sites on 4 September 2026.)
- Meta's fee on every conversation you start
Billed to your Meta account, not the platform, and unchanged by switching platforms. In Egypt: a utility conversation (order confirmation, shipping update, verification code) is about 0.17 EGP, and a marketing one about 3.10 EGP since January 2026. Every conversation the customer starts is free with no cap. The full table is here, Saudi Arabia here, the UAE here.
- The number itself
On the official API you pay Meta nothing for the number; you need a SIM you own and a business account reviewed once. On the "free" WhatsApp Web tools the number is the entire price, because that is the route numbers get banned through. Section five covers this line.
2. First example: a store at three hundred orders a month
An Egyptian store selling cash on delivery, receiving about three hundred orders a month, wanting two things from the bot: confirm every order on WhatsApp before dispatch, and answer customer questions ("where is my order?" in the customer's own words). Its second line works out like this:
- 300 order confirmations × 0.17 EGP = 51 EGP a month.
- Customer questions: the customer starts them, so they are zero at Meta however many there are. In our measurement across 24,411 real conversations, 71% were of this kind.
- One marketing broadcast a month to the month's three hundred customers — if wanted — adds 300 × 3.10 = 930 EGP.
So the full bill on our plan: 1,051 EGP with no marketing, or 1,981 EGP with one monthly broadcast. Notice the single broadcast cost eighteen times more than all three hundred confirmations together — the most important number on this page, because what decides your bill is not the platform's name but how many marketing messages you start.
When Meta's fees are fifty-one pounds, the gap between a 1,000 EGP subscription and a six-dollar one is real, and we do not hide it. What the thousand buys is in section six: an AI agent that answers in the customer's dialect, a team inbox with a real app, and a live link to your store on Easy Orders or WooCommerce that reads stock and creates the order. If you do not need those, the cheapest is elsewhere.
3. Second example: a store at three thousand orders a month
The same store grown tenfold. The first line has not moved — still 1,000 EGP on WhatsApp Lite — and the second has multiplied by ten:
| Line | 300 orders / month | 3,000 orders / month |
|---|---|---|
| Platform subscription (WhatsApp Lite) | 1,000 EGP | 1,000 EGP |
| Order confirmations at Meta (0.17 EGP × orders) | 51 EGP | 510 EGP |
| Replies to customer-started questions | ٠ | ٠ |
| Total with no marketing | 1,051 EGP | 1,510 EGP |
| One monthly marketing broadcast to every customer (3.10 EGP × customers) | 930 EGP | 9,300 EGP |
| Total with one monthly broadcast | 1,981 EGP | 10,810 EGP |
Read the right-hand column: at three thousand orders, one broadcast a month costs 9,300 EGP — nine times the subscription. Here the question turns over: a platform whose subscription is eight hundred pounds cheaper but sends cart reminders and offers as marketing messages indiscriminately costs you more than a dearer platform that classifies everything it can as a utility conversation and keeps the 24-hour window open so you reply for free.
And the exception we do not hide: if you send a marketing broadcast every week to three thousand customers, Meta's fees alone pass 37,000 EGP a month, and no platform changes that. The calculator gives you your own figure at your own volume.
4. When the cheapest really is somewhere else
We say it with names, because a page claiming to be the cheapest for everybody is not credible. (Figures as published on their sites on 4 September 2026.)
- Local WhatsApp platforms with a free tier — several platforms in Egypt start at zero for a capped number of messages, then a few dollars a month. At thirty orders a month that is the correct answer to "cheapest", not us.
- Dedicated confirmation tools — confirmation only, some starting with a few dozen free messages a month, then a few hundred EGP. If all you want is confirmation before dispatch at a small volume they are enough, and how to decide between one and a full platform is here.
- Regional platforms starting at a few dollars — some are Meta partners connected to Salla, Zid, WooCommerce and Shopify. A serious option for a small merchant before a team and a shared inbox are needed.
And we have no free tier for the paid channels; there is a trial before paying, then 1,000 EGP. If your Meta bill is five pounds a month because you confirm thirty orders, a thousand-pound subscription makes no sense for you today, and that is a more honest answer than talking you into it.
5. The "free" whose price is your number
In the same search results are tools running on WhatsApp Web with no subscription, promising auto-replies and bulk sending. They work in a way Meta did not design for business, and it is the route numbers get banned through. When your number goes, it goes with every conversation and your whole customer list, and nothing comes back. The third line of their bill is not zero — it is everything you built on the number.
The official API gives you a permitted route for bulk sending with approved templates, and a quality rating you watch fall days before a ban. The real reasons for bans and how to prevent them are here, and the app-versus-API difference here.
6. How to lower the second line — which is what the subscription buys
Since the second line is the one that grows with your volume, the cheapest platform at hundreds of orders is the one that makes it smaller. Four things do that, and we measure them on our platform:
- Classify the message as utility, not marketing
Order confirmation, shipping updates and verification codes are all utility conversations at about 0.17 EGP, not marketing at 3.10. Our order confirmation goes out on an approved utility template, after a delay you set, with 53 ready templates in 14 groups already filed in the right category.
- Let the customer start — then reply inside the window
Everything sent within 24 hours of the customer's message is free. An AI agent that understands Egyptian and Gulf dialect and answers at once keeps the conversation inside that window, instead of letting it lapse and forcing a paid template the next day. The agents are here.
- Recover the cart instead of broadcasting to everyone
One message to the person who left a cart on Salla, Zid or Shopify is far cheaper than a broadcast to the whole list, because it goes only to the person it concerns. Cart recovery is here.
- Read the bill before it arrives
Our cost analytics show what you paid Meta this month split by conversation type, so you know whether the last broadcast earned its price. That is the difference between a cheap subscription and a cheap bill.
Frequently asked
What is actually the cheapest WhatsApp chatbot in Egypt?
It depends on your volume, not on the subscription alone. At thirty orders a month the cheapest is a free tier, and the local market has platforms and confirmation tools that offer one for a capped number of messages. At hundreds of orders the gap between subscriptions becomes smaller than Meta's own fees, so the right question becomes: who lowers the second line of the bill?
Are Meta's fees included in the platform subscription?
No, at any official platform. Conversation fees are billed by Meta directly to your ad account, and the subscription goes to the platform. Any page that shows one number is showing a third of the bill. Every conversation type's price in Egypt is here.
What does a WhatsApp order-confirmation message cost in Egypt?
About 0.17 EGP for a utility conversation, which is the category order confirmations and shipping updates fall in. A marketing message is about 3.10 EGP since January 2026, down from 5.20. So a store confirming three hundred orders a month pays Meta about fifty-one pounds for all of them.
Do you have a free tier or anything under a thousand pounds?
No. Our cheapest plan that includes WhatsApp is WhatsApp Lite at 1,000 EGP a month ($40, 120 SAR), with a trial before it but no zero plan. If your volume is small, somebody else's free tier is the right decision, and we named them above.
And the free WhatsApp Web tools — are they not the cheapest?
Their subscription is zero and their price is your number. They work in a way Meta did not design for business, which is the route numbers get banned through, and when the number goes every conversation on it goes too. The detail is here.
