The short answer

In «Design» switch on «Offer the other language to visitors (a switch at the top of the store)», so the storefront turns to English in one tap and product names show in English where you wrote them; the «Translate them with AI» button writes the English name and description for every product missing them. In «Prices in other currencies» you pick currencies visitors can see prices in at today's rate, while the order and payment stay in your store's currency, and the page tells the visitor so.

The steps in the store panel

  1. Switch on the English button

In the store panel open «Design», and under «An English button in the shop» switch on «Offer the other language to visitors (a switch at the top of the store)».

  2. Translate the products

If some products show no English name, press «Translate them with AI» to write the English name and description, then review and edit any product.

  3. Pick the display currencies

In «Prices in other currencies» pick the currencies your visitors can see prices in, and save.

What you should know

  • Seventeen display currencies: Egyptian pound, Saudi riyal, UAE dirham, Kuwaiti dinar, Qatari riyal, Bahraini dinar, Omani rial, Jordanian dinar, Iraqi dinar, Libyan dinar, Tunisian dinar, Algerian dinar, Moroccan dirham, US dollar, euro, pound sterling and Turkish lira.
  • A visitor from a country whose currency you picked sees a small line suggesting prices in their currency.
  • Google always sees your prices in your store's currency, and if the exchange rate is unavailable the store shows its own currency until it returns.

Related questions

1

Does the customer pay in their currency?

No; display currencies are for viewing only, and the order and payment are in your store's currency.

2

Does the AI translation work with no setup?

It needs AI to be enabled on your account; if the translation does not finish, a message asks you to check that.
