What is cashback? Its meaning, and how it is worked out
On this page 5
The short answer
Cashback is part of the price of what someone bought returning to them after the purchase: as credit in their account, as points, or as money on their card. Unlike a discount, which comes off now, cashback comes back to be spent on a later purchase.

How is Cashback worked out?
cashback = order value × rateExample: 5% cashback on an EGP 800 order = EGP 40 of credit to spend on the next order.
Why does Cashback matter to a seller?
Because it brings the customer back: credit waiting in your store is a reason to buy from you again rather than someone else. A returning customer is far cheaper than a new one you pay ads to win.
Cashback in ArabyBot
The closest thing in ArabyBot Store is loyalty points: the customer earns points only on delivered orders and spends them later while signed in with their own WhatsApp number; an order that never arrives earns nothing.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between cashback and a discount?
A discount comes off the order now; cashback comes back after the purchase to spend on a later order.
Is cashback paid out in cash?
It depends on the scheme; in stores it is usually credit or points spent inside the same store.
Why is cashback not given before the order arrives?
Because a cash-on-delivery order may be refused; counting it after delivery prevents credit on an order never paid for.
