The short answer

Bulk senders come in three kinds. A browser extension and a desktop program send from your ordinary number through a WhatsApp Web session or an unofficial client, and WhatsApp's terms prohibit bulk and automated messaging on its apps, so the number stays at risk however polished the tool. The third is the WhatsApp Business API through a provider: Meta-approved templates, recipients who opted in, a daily limit that starts at 250 recipients and rises with quality, and a known price per message.

What kinds of WhatsApp bulk sender software are there?

WhatsApp bulk sender software comes in three kinds: an extension installed in the browser that works inside WhatsApp Web, a program installed on the computer and linked to your number through a QR code, and a platform on the official WhatsApp Business API. The first two use your ordinary number; the third uses a number registered with Meta for business.

The browser extension

Installed from the extensions store, it opens WhatsApp Web in a tab, reads the list of numbers, types the message into each chat and presses Send for you, with a varying pause between messages so it looks like a person typing.

The desktop program

The same idea outside the browser: it opens a WhatsApp Web session inside its own window, or connects to WhatsApp's servers through an unofficial library imitating the app, and you link it to your number by scanning a QR code with your phone. Some run several numbers and switch when one stops.

The WhatsApp API through a provider

It does not run on the WhatsApp app at all: the business number is registered on Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform, messages leave from Meta's servers, and the provider gives you a dashboard for templates, lists and reports. What the Cloud API is.

The difference that changes everything after it is where the tool runs. The extension and the program drive an app designed for personal conversation, so the number your customers and relatives write to is the one sending the campaign. The API is a channel Meta built for businesses to send from, with its own rules and its own price.

Why do WhatsApp bulk sender programs put your number at risk?

Because WhatsApp's Terms of Service list bulk messaging, auto-messaging and auto-dialing as impermissible on its apps, and its Messaging Guidelines name unofficial clients and automation among the things that can lead to an account being suspended temporarily or permanently. The extension and the program do both, from your number.

What a recipient sees from an unknown number: Block and Report, which is what stops the number

Before judging them, what these tools do well is real: they start in minutes, need no template and no approval from Meta, send from the number your customers know, many merge the customer's name from the file into the text, and they cost a small subscription or nothing. The problem is not how well they are built but three things working against them at once:

  • The channel. The WhatsApp app and the Business app are designed for conversation a person types, and driving them automatically is a violation in itself, however small the number of messages.
  • The recipients. Most lists these tools send to are numbers that never wrote to the sender or agreed to hear from them, so some tap Block or Report. WhatsApp's Business Messaging Policy says blocks and reports can limit how many messages a business sends.
  • The pattern. WhatsApp does not publish what it detects, but one identical message to hundreds of new chats from a single number looks nothing like personal use, and a random pause between messages does not change what it is.
What you lose when the number is stopped

You do not lose the campaign alone: a stopped number takes its conversations and its link to every customer who saved it, and it may not come back. No unofficial tool can guarantee otherwise, so whoever promises "sending with no ban" from an ordinary number is promising a decision that is not theirs. What to do if your number is stopped.

What does bulk WhatsApp sending through the API require?

Four conditions set by Meta, not by the provider: an approved template for every message that opens a conversation, prior consent from every recipient, message quality that does not collect reports, and a daily recipient limit that starts small and rises automatically. Keep them and you send in thousands without fearing for the number; break them and you are restricted even on the official API.

Meta's four conditions for bulk sending, and the daily-limit ladder from 250 recipients
Meta's conditions for bulk sending on the WhatsApp API
ConditionWhat Meta saysThe detailed guide
The approved templateEvery message you start is a template classed as marketing, utility or authentication, and Meta's documentation says its review can take up to 24 hours.Template approval
ConsentOnly message people who gave you their number and agreed to receive your messages, and honour every request to stop, on or off WhatsApp.Bulk sending without a ban
QualityBlocks and reports from recipients can lead Meta to limit how many messages the business sends.Quality rating and limits
The daily limit250 unique recipients outside the customer-service window in any 24 hours for a new account, then 2,000, 10,000, 100,000 and unlimited.Business verification

Moving from 250 to 2,000 comes one of three ways listed in Meta's documentation: verifying the business, having the partner who onboarded you verify it if they offer that, or delivering 2,000 messages outside the service window to unique recipients within 30 days on high-quality templates. After 2,000 the limit rises one level within six hours whenever your messages are high quality and you used at least half your limit in the last seven days. The limit is set for the whole business portfolio, so all its numbers share it.

One last limit you do not control: WhatsApp may not deliver a marketing message to a user who has recently received many from businesses in general, returning error code 131049, and Meta advises waiting at least 24 hours before retrying. So do not read every failed message as a wrong number.

What does sending 1,000 bulk WhatsApp messages through the API cost?

Meta bills each message you start by template category and recipient country, not per campaign. In Egypt a thousand marketing messages cost about 3,542 EGP, and a thousand utility messages such as order confirmations about 198 EGP. The whole difference is the template category, not the number of messages.

The cost of 1,000 bulk WhatsApp messages through the API
MessagePer 1,000 in USDRoughly in local currencyWhere the figure comes from
Egypt — marketing (offer, campaign)64.403,542 EGPFrom Meta's official rate card effective 1 October 2026
Egypt — utility (order, shipping)3.60198 EGPMeasured across 6,437 messages Meta billed us for
Saudi Arabia — utility10.7040 SARMeasured from Meta's invoices on a few messages, the same rate every time
Saudi Arabia — marketing57.60216 SARFrom Meta's official rate card effective 1 October 2026

Converted at 55 EGP and 3.75 SAR to the dollar; Meta bills in dollars, so the local figure is approximate. On top of Meta's fees is the subscription for the platform that runs the sending: in ArabyBot campaigns belong to some plans, not all, and each plan has a monthly campaign-recipient allowance shown on the pricing page. Work out your campaign with your own numbers in the campaign cost calculator, and the detail is in the Egypt WhatsApp API pricing guide.

Is there free bulk WhatsApp sending?

The WhatsApp app and the Business app are free, and many extensions are free or cheap, but driving the app automatically for bulk sending breaks its terms, so free here is paid for with the number itself. Permitted bulk sending is on the WhatsApp API, where you pay for each message you start on a template, and some things remain genuinely free.

  • The broadcast list in the Business app: free and permitted because it is manual, but capped at 256 contacts per list, and it reaches only people who saved your number.
  • Conversations the customer starts: Your replies inside the 24-hour window: the first 1,000 a month per phone number are free, and the rest are charged at the customer's market utility rate with no volume discount.
  • A utility template instead of marketing: order confirmations and shipping updates bill at the utility rate, about 198 EGP per thousand in Egypt against 3,542 EGP for marketing. But Meta classes a template by its content, and one promotional sentence moves it to marketing. How to cut your WhatsApp bill.

Which WhatsApp bulk sender should you choose? The three kinds compared

If your list is dozens of people who know you, the manual broadcast list in the Business app is enough. If it is hundreds or thousands, the extension and the program start faster and cost less but stake the number itself; the WhatsApp API is slower in its first week and dearer per marketing message, but it is the only one of the three that grows without being shut.

How do you send bulk WhatsApp messages from ArabyBot, and what does it not do?

ArabyBot is a platform on the official WhatsApp Business API, with no sending from WhatsApp Web or from an unofficial client anywhere in it. You upload your list, pick an approved template, set the segment and the time, then follow each message's status. It has limits, which we state here before you find them yourself.

Importing from a file in ArabyBot, and the limits we state before you find them
  1. Connect a business number

From the dashboard through Meta's embedded signup: a new number or your current one on the Business app. For the first seven days after connecting, campaigns do not start: a safety period for new accounts. The signup steps.

  2. Import the numbers

A CSV, XLSX or text file, or paste the numbers directly, up to 20,000 at a time. The system picks numbers out of any column, merges duplicates, refuses anything that does not look like a phone number with the reason, and puts them in a group you name. Sending from Excel.

  3. Pick an approved template

You write the template and submit it to Meta from the dashboard: marketing or utility, with a text, image, video or document header, and quick-reply, link or call buttons. Only what Meta approved appears in the campaign.

  4. Choose the segment

By groups and tags, included or excluded, by last interaction (a day, a week, a month, three months), and by order-confirmation status for customers with orders. A message that reaches people it concerns does not get reported.

  5. Send now or schedule

The campaign starts at once or at a time you set, goes out in batches, and if Meta answers that the send rate was exceeded, sending pauses for a minute and resumes.

  6. Read the report

For each recipient: sent, delivered, read, or failed with the error code and text. For those whose message failed or went unread you create a second campaign in one click. Customer replies land in the conversation inbox, answered by the AI agent bound to the number or by your team.

What ArabyBot campaigns do not do today
  • It does not fill each recipient's name into the template: template variables take one value for the whole campaign, and the import reads numbers only, not names.
  • It does not segment by country, city or custom fields.
  • The campaign report does not track who replied or clicked a link, and there is no A/B test of a campaign.
  • It automatically excludes from marketing campaigns anyone who tapped Meta's "Stop promotions" button; someone who typed "stop" in the chat you remove from the group yourself.
  • It blocks starting or scheduling a new campaign once your number's quality reaches red, but it does not stop a campaign that started before.

Frequently asked questions

1

"Is there a bulk sender that never gets banned?" — does any extension or program send in bulk without risking the number?

No tool running on the regular WhatsApp app or the Business app can guarantee it, because automated bulk sending on either app breaks WhatsApp's own terms, and the decision is WhatsApp's, not the tool maker's. The permitted route for sending at scale is the WhatsApp Business API with approved templates to people who opted in.

2

Are broadcast lists in the WhatsApp Business app safe?

Yes, it is a feature of the app itself used by hand, but it is small: up to 256 contacts per list, and the message only reaches people who saved your number. It suits dozens of customers who know you, not a campaign to thousands.

3

How many recipients a day can I reach on the WhatsApp API?

A new business account starts at 250 unique recipients in any 24 hours outside the customer-service window, then 2,000 after business verification or after delivering 2,000 high-quality messages within 30 days, then 10,000, 100,000 and unlimited automatically while quality stays high and you used at least half your limit in the last seven days. Business verification.

4

Do I need consent from everyone I message?

Yes. WhatsApp's Business Messaging Policy says you may only message people who gave you their number and opted in to your messages, and that you must honour every request to stop, on or off WhatsApp. Customers who bought and left their number, messaged you, or agreed in a form are the list that protects the number.

5

Can I use my current number with the WhatsApp API?

Yes. A number running on the WhatsApp Business app joins the official API in coexistence mode and stays on the app. The signup steps.

6

What happens if I send to a purchased list through the API?

You break the consent rule first, then many tap Block or Report, the number's quality falls and Meta may limit how many messages you send. The official API does not protect you from that; it only protects you from breaking the channel rules. In ArabyBot a new campaign cannot start once your number's quality reaches red.
