How do I send a WhatsApp bulk campaign to my customers from ArabyBot?
The short answer
In "WhatsApp Tools" → "Broadcasting" press "New Broadcast", pick your number and a Meta-approved template, target the audience by groups, tags, last interaction and subscription date, then save it as a draft or schedule it on Cairo time. Sending starts with "Start Broadcast", and the report shows what was sent, delivered, read and failed.
The steps in the ArabyBot dashboard
- Prepare the number list
In "WhatsApp Tools" → "Contacts" press "Import Contacts", choose the sending number, upload a CSV or Excel file or paste the numbers, then "Preview Numbers", type a "Group Name" and press "Save Group".
- Create the campaign
Open "WhatsApp Tools" → "Broadcasting" and press "New Broadcast". Under "Phone & Template" type the "Campaign Name" and pick "From Phone Number" and an "Approved Template". Only Meta-approved templates appear.
- Fill in the variables and media
Under "Variables & Header Media" type a value for each template variable, and if the template has an image, video or document header, paste its public link in "Header Media URL".
- Choose the audience
Under "Target Audience" use "Include Groups", "Exclude Groups", "Include Tags", "Exclude Tags", "Last interaction", "Subscribed from" and "Subscribed to", plus "Order status" when your number has order-confirmation data. Leaving groups empty targets every subscriber of the number.
- Save or schedule, then start
Under "Schedule" choose "Save as Draft (start manually)" or "Schedule for later" and set "Send at" in Cairo time, then "Save Broadcast". The "Broadcast Details" page opens, and sending starts from its "Start Broadcast" button.
- Follow the report
In "Broadcast Details" you see Pending, Sent, Delivered, Read and Failed, with the estimated and actual cost. Once the campaign ends, "Retarget Campaign" builds a new one for the failed recipients or those who did not read.
What you should know
- Scheduling always uses Cairo time, whatever your country; convert your time to Cairo time before entering it in "Send at".
- If any number on your account is rated RED, the system refuses to start or schedule a campaign until quality improves; a campaign already sending carries on. New accounts also have a seven-day safety period from their first connected number before the first broadcast.
- Import reads numbers only, up to 20,000 per import, from CSV, TXT and Excel xlsx files; the old xls format is not read, and names or cities are not imported.
- A customer who taps Meta's button to stop marketing messages is skipped automatically in marketing-template campaigns. Typing "unsubscribe" or "stop" does not remove them from campaigns; tag them and exclude the tag under "Exclude Tags".
- Not available in campaigns: a city filter, a reply or click counter, and pausing (a running campaign can only be cancelled, and cannot be restarted). Each variable has one value for every recipient.
- Meta charges your WhatsApp account for template messages by category and country, and the cost the campaign shows is an estimate. The monthly number of broadcast messages is set by your package limit.
Related questions
Can I put each customer's name in the campaign message?
No. Each variable in a campaign has one value for all recipients, so write text that fits everyone.
Why does "Start Broadcast" refuse to send?
The message states the reason, and three cases cover it: one of your numbers is rated RED, the account is still in the new-account safety period, or you reached your package's monthly broadcast limit.
