The short answer
Error 132012 means a value you sent for one of the template's variables is not in the format the template was approved with: text where a link is expected, a link where an image is expected, an empty value, or an image header without an image. Send each variable a value of the right kind, then send again.
Why error 132012 appears
- The template has an image, video or document header, and the media was missing or of another type.
- A dynamic URL button expects part of a link, and a full link or plain text was sent.
- A variable was sent empty, or held line breaks or repeated spaces the template does not accept.
- An old copy of the template was used after its structure changed at Meta.
How to fix it, step by step
- Open the template in WhatsApp Manager
Check its structure: does it have a media header? A dynamic URL button? How many variables are in the body?
- Match every value to its kind
An image for an image header, only the URL suffix for a dynamic URL button, and text without line breaks for body variables.
- Fill the blanks
Never leave a variable empty; if some customers have no name on file, use a fallback such as «valued customer».
- Test on your number, then send to all
Send the template to yourself first; once it arrives, the campaign is ready to resume.
